7. Your Responsibilities

To provide accurate advice and prepare your application properly, you agree to:

  • supply documents within requested timeframes

  • notify us of any changes to your circumstances

  • ensure all information provided to the Department is correct

We are not responsible for delays or negative outcomes caused by incomplete, inaccurate or late information.

8. Our Responsibilities

  • comply with the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents

9. Fees, Invoices & Refunds

You will receive a clear fee outline before work begins. Professional fees must be paid as agreed in your Service Agreement.

Refunds:

  • may be available for work not yet performed

  • are not available for work already completed

  • do not apply to government fees, medical checks, police clearances or third‑party costs

If invoices remain unpaid, work may pause until payment is received.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Visa Journey Australia is not liable for:

  • decisions made by the Department of Home Affairs

  • changes to migration law or policy

  • delays caused by third parties

  • loss of data, loss of opportunity or indirect loss

  • outcomes affected by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.

11. Comments, Posts & User‑Generated Content

If our website allows comments or user submissions, you are responsible for the content you post. You must not post material that is:

  • defamatory, offensive or unlawful

  • misleading or harmful

  • infringing on another person’s rights

We retain client information for seven (7) years after the last action on the file for the relevant client. This aligns our policy with Section 56(5) of the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents 2022.

After this time, information is securely destroyed or permanently de‑identified.

14. Ending Our Services

Either party may end the engagement at any time by providing written notice. You remain responsible for fees for work already completed.

If we end the engagement, we will provide reasonable notice and comply with our professional obligations.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
